Hello

My name is Thomas Griggs, and I’m a front end developer based in St. Petersburg, FL. I’ve been in the industry for nearly 20 years, starting as a print designer and evolving into a front end developer 15 years ago. While I’m comfortable working with established css frameworks, the last 8 years of my professional career have had me building over 200 hotel sites from the ground up - each site unique in its design and build, and the opportunity has allowed me to experiment and expand on my working knowledge as a front end developer.

Aside from building sites for the hospitality industry, I’ve spent time with the team at Qlik to assist in developing their intranet, as well as building out assets for their Salesforce portal. I helped LazydaysRV, a large Southeastern recreational vehicle dealership, in the development of a new framework for their site that aimed to boost site speeds in order to serve their potential clients.

One thing that I’ve always loved about my career is the opportunities I’ve had to learn from others and grow my skillset - I’m looking for that opportunity once again, and I think that your place would be a great fit. Hope to hear from you soon!

Les Domaines de Fontenille was the over-arching brand to 8 indivudal hotels within its portfolio. With the use of css variables, I was able to keep the structure the same but apply the individual hotel’s brand color scheme throughout each individual site. The css below illustrates how I was able to achieve this.

In developing a company intranet, it felt important to provide all the links that an employee would need in one easy-to-navigate location. The biggest challenge was trying to consolidate menus in a layout that could be placed in tabs and still make sense for the employee to find the proper channel. Below is an example of how this section was built.
